I am José van Eck(she/her) a Dutch photographer now based in Biel/Bienne Switzerland. My love for photography began at a young age, sitting on my parents bedroom floor, spitting through all our family holiday pictures that were collected in boxes, revisiting memories.

From there I started as an autodidact photographer, taking self portraits and landscape pictures. During my studies I specialised and did a minor in Film & Photography at the Technical University of Dublin, Ireland.

For me taking pictures is like locking in the present moment so it can become a memory you want to revisit by the means of a photograph. Like everything a picture and your perspective changes, and the picture will be the proof of that.
